Attendees new to public entity pooling are encouraged to participate in the Pooling Basics track to learn how our dynamic industry varies from the private insurance industry and how pools were formed to meet the needs of members. In addition to understanding the basics about pooling, this 6-hour track -- part pre-conference and part regular concurrent conference sessions -- will help participants learn the top three things every board member should know, helping board members fulfill investment responsibilities, understanding the difference between individual and board responsibilities, cultivating a future-forward board, and collaborating for effective change.
